This is my first massage. What should I expect?
Our therapists are licensed professionals that will make you feel comfortable and at ease. Before beginning the massage, your therapist will discuss with you what you would like to get out of the massage whether you are wanting relief from chronic pain or just a relaxation based massage. Are there any areas you don't want them working on such as your feet or head? Just let them know. After having a brief discussion with you, they will then leave the room while you get undressed to your comfort level. Once the massage starts, you will be covered with a sheet and blanket and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. We want even the most modest person to feel comfortable on the massage table.
Do you take insurance?
While we do not bill insurance directly for our massage services, we are able to provide you with a receipt with the medical coding necessary for you to submit to your insurance. You pay for the services upfront, then send in the receipt we give you to your insurance company for reimbursement.
The acupuncturist that works out of Rejuvenation does bill directly for insurance. Contact your insurance provider to see if acupuncture is covered in your plan.
How far in advance should I book?
It all depends. If you are booking for 2 or more people, we recommend calling at least a week or two in advance as same time appointments are very popular and go quickly. The same goes if you are booking a package that is 2 hours or more. Please don't hesitate to call for same day appointments as we are often able to fit you in last minute.
What is dry brushing?
Dry brushing is known for stimulating the lymph system, increasing blood flow and exfoliating skin. Strokes are made towards the heart with a soft bristle dry brush. Dry brushing can be added before any treatment. Expect a soft, tickle-y, scratchy feeling, in a good way.
Please call if you have any other questions.
